It is the purpose of this bulletin to describe in general certain electrical equipment which has recently been developed by the General Electric Company to take the place of the mechanical gear box of motor buses and other road vehicles and to give a particular account of how this equipment was applied to a gasoline bus having the usual mechanical drive, together with resultsof comparitive road tests covering a period of several months.
