A glimpse into the future.

What will the future bring? Many answers to this question can be found in the S-Class. And it has been since 1951, the year the 220 of the 187 series was presented to the public. Even if the name "S-Class" was not introduced until much later, it is fair to say that the history of the S-Class began with the 187 series.

Since then, every trip in an S-Class has been a kind of journey through time into the automotive future. With milestones in terms of safety, comfort, dynamics and design, every S-Class has always been more than a car-length ahead of its time.

And with the new S-Class this will also be the case in the future.

Was wird die Zukunft bringen? Viele Antworten auf diese Frage Finden sich in der S-Klasse. Und sas schon seit 1951, dem Jahr, als der Typ 220 der Baureihe 187 der Offentlichkeit vorgestellt wurde. Auch wenn der Name "S-Klasse" erst viel spater eingefuhrt wurde, kann man mit Fug und Recht behaupten, dass die Geschichte der S-Klasse mit der Baureihe 187 begann.

Seitdem ist jede Fahrt in einer S-Klassse eine Art Zeitreise in die automobile Zukunft, Mit Meilensteinen bei Sicherheit, bei Komfort, bei Dynamik und Design war jede S-Klasse ihrer Zeit stets um mehr als eine Wagenlange voraus.

Und mit der neuen S-Klasse wird dies auch in Zukunft so sein.
