Twenty years. A relatively brief span of time if related to the early part of a human life. But the rhythms of technological innovation are infinitely faster than thos of a man. And twenty years can be a long time. The I.D.E.A. Institure, founded by Franco Mantegazza in 1978, is approaching its twentieth birthday.
An important anniversary - and the temptation to take stock of the I.D.E.A. projects and activities throughout its history is a strong one.
