The Teves Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) is now available on some Volkswagen models. With this system, hydraulic brake pressure, power assist and the anti-locking control are combined into one system. As a result of compact construction, it requires about the same space as the vacuum booster and master cylinder used on our Dual Diaganol Brake system.

The advantage of ABS, when compared to conventional brake systems, is that the wheels will not lock when braking, even on slippery survaces. This maintains vehicle directional stability during hard braking and cornering.
