1980 Chevrolet LUV Pickup Factory Press Photo.

Did you know?
There was not a Series 7 Chevrolet LUV Pickup. That's right. Chevrolet decided to align the series number more with the model year and in 1978 skipped Series 7 and referred to the 1978 Model as Series 8.

So here is how the Series lined up:

Series     Model Year
 1            1972
 2            1973
 3            1974
 4            1975
 5            1976
 6            1977
 8            1978
 9            1979
10           1980
11           1981
12           1982
