From near sea level to altitudes over 10,000 feet, it sought to best the world's finest stock cars and dared to contest the performance of the world's most costly, competition inspired sports cars. The Result: Even before the first of the four Lincolns crossed the finish line to take first, second, third, and fourth places at Jaurez five days later, there had beene more than an inkling of the results to come. Besides sweeping the first four places in the stock car field, Lincolns outran or outlasted 76% of all sports cars -- cars specially built for competitions like this! Truly a motor car revolution had been confirmed. And here, on the following pages, as told by the drivers themselves, is the story of this spectacular test! Lincoln. Powered to leave the past behind.
