Description

1933 Stutz Bearcat Stamps First Day Issue Signed by Artist - Ken Dallison. Original. Rare.

The Postal Service affixed two 11 cent stamps on Envelope on the First Day of Issue, which took place on June 11, 1985, in Baton Rouge, LA, which is noted by the postmark itself. There were 135,037 first day covers.

A desirable collector's piece as this copy is made even more unique as it has also been signed by stamp designer and British fine artist, Ken Dallison, most notable for his automotive art works. Ken now makes his home in Indian River, Ontario, Canada.

Envelope is empty, but has some history of Stutz on the back.

Did you know? Harry C. Stutz dies on June 15, 1930 from an infection resulting from a ruptured appendix.
