1916 Christie Front Wheel Drive Steam Engine Fire Truck Press Photo. Shown being paraded in 1939. Don't have any insight on the sign. President Abraham "Abe" Lincoln died in 1965. Maybe they had named their old horse drawn fire apparatus/pumper "Abe Lincoln" and it worked at Boston Fire in 1872. Many old horse drawn fire apparatus/pumpers were fitted with the Front Drive Christie in place of the old fore-carriage. Reproduction. Likely printed circa 1960's.
